Simple Lead Tracker
Simple Lead Tracker is a no-frills CRM for founders, small sales teams, and anyone who's outgrown a spreadsheet but doesn't need the weight of Salesforce or HubSpot. One clean table captures the essentials — name, company, email, phone, source, stat
A no-frills CRM for teams that need to track leads without learning Salesforce. One table, the fields you actually use, and a workflow you can adopt in five minutes.
What it's for
You have leads coming in from your website, referrals, trade shows, and outbound calls. You need to know who they are, where they're at in the pipeline, who owns them, and when to follow up next. That's it. This app does that â nothing more, nothing less.
Ideal for:
- Founders running sales themselves
- Small sales teams (1â10 reps) who find full CRMs overkill
- Side projects, consultancies, agencies
- Anyone graduating from a spreadsheet but not ready for a six-figure tool
What's inside
A single table with the fields that matter:
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Lead Name | The person you're talking to |
| Company Name | Where they work |
| Validated email format | |
| Phone | Free-form, international-friendly |
| Lead Source | Website · Referral · Event · Cold Call · Other |
| Status | New · Contacted · Qualified · Won · Lost |
| Owner | The teammate responsible |
| Next Follow-up | The date you owe them a reply |
| Notes | Context, next steps, anything else |
Color-coded select fields make the pipeline scannable at a glance.
How to use it
1. Add a lead
Click + New Record. Fill in name, company, and email at minimum. Set the source so you can later see which channels actually work. Status defaults to New.
2. Work the pipeline
Move leads through statuses as conversations progress:
- New â just landed, not yet touched
- Contacted â you've reached out
- Qualified â there's a real opportunity here
- Won â closed
- Lost â no deal (and why, in Notes)
3. Never drop a follow-up
Always set Next Follow-up before closing a record. Filter or sort by that date and you have a daily call list. If it's blank, the lead is dead to you â fix it.
4. Assign ownership
Set Owner so it's clear who's driving the conversation. Filter by owner for one-on-ones and pipeline reviews.
5. Keep notes terse and dated
Notes is a free-text field. Write what was said, what's next, and the date. Future-you will thank present-you.
